  • The Conference room

The Convent, formerly located in La Maison Mer de Cocagne, had a basement that was used at the time to house classrooms intended for students of the Convent. Two classrooms were used by the sisters for teaching. The innkeeper kept the blackboard, like the one from our childhood, including chalks and erasers. She converted the basement into a conference/meeting room that can hold approximately 30 people. La Maison Mer de Cocagne therefore makes accessible to associations, groups and clubs a basement that is completely finished for holding meetings: blackboard, projector, computer sockets, tables, chairs, loveseat, armchairs and a juice bar. We dare believe the staid and thorough classrooms housed in such a historic site will help your meeting attendees achieve their desired results. La Maison Mer de Cocagne wishes you grace!

  • La Cage à Homard

La Cage à Homard [The Lobster Trap] is inspired by the fishing activities that are practised in the region. You are in the Land of Lobster after all! Lobster is a crustacean that everyone loves to eat. Eating lobster is like having a celebration. Lobster is an exotic product, as much because of the way by which it is caught using traps as because of its shell and meat. The pleasure of cracking the shell and removing the unique tasting meat makes eating lobster a feast, preferably among friends. It’s a unifying dish! The room therefore takes you back to this age-old fishing practise. It is the colour of wet sand and the innkeeper used fishing net for decoration as well as a lobster trap for a night table! You will let yourself be seduced by the comfort of its large bed and the age of its furniture. Trapped in the Land of Lobster!

  • La Mère Supérieure

La Mère Supérieure (The Mother Superior) reminds us that the convent was run by the sisters who helped people from the community practice their faith and made sure discipline reigned in the classrooms. Because the sisters’ main quality was modesty, the rooms are painted light beige. They are sparsely furnished with old-fashioned solid wood furniture, but with modern comforts, a large bed and all of the amenities of contemporary life. An invitation to contemplation.

  • La Première vague

La Première Vague [The First Wave] is a typically maritime room overlooking the sea and painted sky blue. When you lie down and close your eyes, you feel as though you are sailing the waves that touch beach. And let’s not forget to mention all the comfort, from the large bed to the period furniture, to make you feel as though you are going on an adventure out at sea or sailing to far-off shores. For as far as your eyes can see, it’s nothing but the water up to Prince Edward Island.

  • Le Petit Voile

Le Petit Voile (The Small Veil) is the second room on the ground floor. At the time, it housed the piano used by the sisters to give piano lessons. It’s the former music room. The innkeeper made it into a room with two single beds and contemporary-looking furniture. It offers all of the comfort you expect. Like musical notes and the novices’ veils, the room is painted entirely in white. Despite its historic rigour, this room invites you to relax in an environment that is a throwback to another era with all of the comfort you are looking for. It will cover you with a spiritual silence.
